Chiropractors are trained to assess the underlying causes of joint, muscle and nerve injuries and provide effective treatment using a wide range of drug-free techniques to relieve pain, restore movement and prevent further problems. You will receive a thorough examination and be given a diagnosis and prognosis for your problem. X-rays will be obtained if it is felt necessary. We also have access to reduced cost MRI scans.

We treat the whole of the spine - neck, mid back and rib cage and lumbar spine. We also deal with the pain that you can develop in the arms, ribs or legs as a result of back problems. We also treat headaches  that arise as a result of neck problems and nerve irritation that can manifest as pins and needles, numbness, coldness or weakness in the arms or legs. We use a range of treatment protocols, depending on your problem, including gentle, specific manipulation, mobilization, ultrasound, advanced muscle energy techniques and specific muscle rehabilitation plans to complement your chiropractic care.

Shoulder pain  - examination will show whether this is due to a neck problem or incorrect use of the shoulder, or both!

Foot pain - may take the form of ankle pain and disfunction; 'policeman's heel', toe mobility problems - all of which can lead to low back pain if left untreated.

Hip and knee pain - either can be due to problems in the joints themselves or referred from a back problem. You might worry that you are developing arthritis in your hip that turns out to be a simple back problem.

Posture is also very important  and poor posture is one of the most common triggers of back pain, along with other normal day to day activities such as housework & DIY, sleeping and using a pc and playing computer games for extended periods of time.
