AVENUE CLINIC, Southampton

is the clinic Director and has been a chiropractor since 1979, having graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. She is also Clinic Director of the Chiropractic Centre, Basingstoke and is part time Tutor in the Anglo European College of Chiropractic Clinic.  Dr Krir has also undertaken extensive post graduate study since graduation and following four years of study, obtained a post graduate MSc in Clinical Chiropractic in 1999,  the dissertation being  based on chronic pain following  whiplash injuries. She obtained a diploma in extremity adjusting in 2000. She is a Fellow of the College of Chiropractors and a Fellow of  the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Chiropractic Orthopaedics, which is dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of orthopaedics, as it relates to chiropractic. In October 2006, she was awarded the WPA Cup for services to Chiropractic. She has been on the British Chiropractic Council since 2000, three of those years as Vice President of the BCA.

is  a graduate of the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. He joined the Avenue Clinic in July 2006, having relocated from the Dorset coast. He previously worked within the country’s largest multi-disciplinary practice were he supervised  the running of the rehabilitation suite.  He also worked  as part of a small sports based practice supervising the care and rehabilitation of young athletes. Rick has been involved with sport and fitness for over fifteen years from competing at a high level of triathlon and winter biathlon while serving with the British Army, to coaching teams and individual riders and drivers involved at the highest level of motor sport.

He has forged close relationships with colleagues in the NHS including local GP’s, to ensure good communication for the benefit of patients and takes an interest the way chiropractors can play an invaluable role in industry by helping people achieve  a speedy return to work after injury or surgery. Rick also uses advanced muscle energy techniques,acupuncture and various rehabilitation protocols to complement chiropractic care.Before training to be a chiropractor Rick spent 11 years as a physical  training instructor in the British Army, he also worked in Australia, Africa and the Canary Islands as a consultant in all aspects of health, fitness and rehabilitation from injury.
